Sam Trimboli is the talent behind some of our top-selling Australian wines – his Yarrunga Field label has an especially big following. The first release of his ‘Special Reserve’ rosé tickled us, um, pink – and we can’t wait for you to try the 2017. It’s super fresh, fruity and every bit as mouthwatering.
For this release, Sam sourced premium parcels of Shiraz – Australia’s star grape – from throughout New South Wales. While berry-packed Shiraz may be known for yielding big, bold dry reds, it can also craft delicious pinks. Sam’s combines the juicy, red-fruit flavor of traditional Shiraz with the world-class freshness found only in rosé-style wines.
Look forward to enticing aromas of fresh red apple, pomegranate and cherry blossom. Flavors of zesty citrus and ripe red cherry, plus touches of minerality, lead to a crisp finish. At home with grilled meats (beef, pork, chicken), it will also work well with fish tacos, salads or all on its own.
Despite our cellar manager’s best efforts, we sell out of rosé every year. So word to the wise: get your orders in on this (and your other rosé favorites) before they’re all scooped up.
