Viansa's 2010 Barbera originates from the Morning Sun Vineyard and has adapted to the Sonoma Country climate which many compare to Tuscany, it is a rich red for the eyes and the palate.  Barbera is incredibly popular in Italy - being the second most widely planted red wine grape in Italy - this wine displays many of the quintessential characteristics loved from Piedmonte, with a California sensibility. Barrel aged for 17 months in 30% new oak to deliver a silky, smoothness and balance, it's a wine balanced with robustness and bright cherry character to enjoy now and over the next 8-10 years with good cellaring.

Food Pairing:

Pizza, Beef w/ Sauteed mushrooms, Minestrone, Veal, Lamb Chops and Lasagna.
