“Jean-Charles Boisset seems to be pulling out all the stops to create something very special with these wines.”
That’s serious praise from top critic Robert Parker for Jean-Charles, the dynamic owner of Raymond Vineyards; “one of the iconic wineries of Napa” (Parker again), it’s also held Wine Enthusiast’s American Winery of the Year title. Well-deserved praise – and just the tip of the accolades iceberg for this impressive outfit.
And it’ll only take a sip of this gorgeously ripe-fruited exclusive to demonstrate how they’ve managed to capture all the kudos …
Made with premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from top-sited vineyards throughout the Central Coast, The Inaugural was crafted by Raymond’s Cab ace, Stephanie Putnam – former star winemaker at Far Niente (the famous Napa estate whose Cabs fetch hundreds of dollars a bottle). Previous releases have a lengthy list of top gold medals, including a double-gold, “Best-of-Class” win at the New Orleans International Wine Awards. Watch this space for updates on the equally classy 2019, because more acclaim is sure to follow.
Look for a ripe core of cherry and plum, notes of white pepper, and a l-o-n-g, smooth finish. Makes for an amazing dinnertime centerpiece – pair with steak, leg of lamb, beef stew, and more.
