Paolo Valle is the man behind some of our most popular (and mouthwatering!) Pinot Grigio releases. He’s so thrilled with the positive response from our thirsty customers, he’s sent us a new – and rare – white to share.
Crafted with 100% Friulano grown during northern Italy’s exceptional 2015 vintage, this overflows with vibrant citrus and mineral characters. San Blâs already has a big fan in top Italian critic Luca Maroni, who rated it an impressive 93 points.
Aside from a talented winemaker, one of the reasons the wine is so impressive is its provenance. The Colli Orientali hills are home to some of Friuli’s most prestigious vineyards; sheltered from winds by the Julian Alps, it’s also cooler here than other Friuli subzones, giving the wines an added zip that make them ideal for food or sipping solo.
Look for delicate floral and citrus aromas. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with ripe citrus- and orchard-fruit flavors framed by a vibrant acidity and a long, mineral-edged finish.
Pinot Grigio lover? You’ll want to give this gem a turn on your dinner table. But hurry – limited supplies mean you don’t have too much time.
