Monterey County
Pinot Noir

The name ‘Pinot d’Oro’ refers to Burgundy’s famed Côte d’Or – home to the world’s most expensive Pinot Noir and the inspiration behind this stunning California cuvée. It hails from exciting Monterey County, which is quickly earning a world-class reputation for producing exceptional Pinot Noir.

Your perfect taste is from California’s stellar 2016 vintage, the latest in a string of highly lauded vintages. Lush, fleshy, and ultra-concentrated, this Pinot Noir makes a lovely red to serve at special meals. It’s loaded with aromas and flavors of red cherry, spicy berries and elegant floral notes, plus a rich and velvety texture.

With all the critical acclaim swirling around California’s 2016s, our advice is to pick up a few bottles and taste for yourself what the hype is all about (these wines really are that good). And there’s no better place to start than this luscious Pinot. Order your share today.

2012 was a wonderful year for California pinot noir and this is a stunning example. Richer and more full bodied than most pinots, it starts with cherry and spice on the nose. The flavor is a delicious mix of cherry and spice settling into a nice cola/tea flavor on the finish, which is relatively long. Easily one of my favorite pinot noirs, and wines in general for that matter. Highly recommended.
