McLaren Vale
Shiraz Based Blend

Veteran winemaker Matt Koch spent 20 years working for Australia’s renowned Rosemount Estate (who he helped lead to multiple Best Australian Producer and New World Winery of the Year titles). Now, Matt’s struck out on his own with his signature MJK label – and his award cabinet has only gotten fuller. His wines boast multiple ‘Best of Show’ trophies from the tough McLaren Vale Wine Show, and Matt himself was recently a finalist for Gourmet Traveller’s Winemaker of the Year title.

So, you can imagine how thrilled we were to secure Matt’s newest release for you. It’s crafted with grapes from Australia’s premium McLaren Vale region, which “continues to produce intense, complex, and seriously ageworthy wines,” says The Wine Companion. Marrying spicy, berry-packed Shiraz (Australia’s flagship red grape) and a splash of chocolatey, black-fruited Malbec (10%), it’s exactly the kind of bold, full-bodied red Matt cracks open at home:

“My new release captures the style of wine I enjoy drinking. Rich and expressive with great drinkability, it will capture, intrigue, and delight you,” he says.

We think it’s especially delightful with burgers, steak, and other hearty red meats. Order your share today, then tell us your favorite pairing in your online review.
