Just north of the most famous Shiraz region, Barossa, Baroota (a word with Aboriginal roots meaning “hunting ground”) is home to a very special vineyard that Kevin considers "a hidden treasure of exceptional Shiraz." True statement – it's famed for its 90-plus-point wines. “I love working with fruit from Baroota. It’s the first to ripen each year, giving me a chance to really focus on small batches of the finest grapes,” Kevin says.
Following the near-perfect growing season in 2014, Barossa's 2015 reds are "rich … with dense colors and a structure suggesting they will be very ageworthy," according to James Halliday. In the glass, look forward to rich raspberry, blackberry and dark chocolate. The plush fruit continues to express itself on the palate, with rounded tannins, sweet spice notes and a velvety finish.
