Sensitive to frost and a proclivity to shatter, Malbec is a thin-skinned varietal and requires long hang times to fully mature. It's popular in Bordeaux-style blends because of its deep color, full tannins and plum flavors which add a level body and complexity. While Malbec is a key component to Imagery's blended reds, they've bottled and savored its unique characteristics for over a decade.
Imagery's 2010 Malbec is a mouthwatering wine with alluring flavors of blackberry and blueberry that jump out of the glass. The wine's elegant tannins spread evenly through the mouth with a slight grip, ending in a balanced finish. Flavors will continue to integrate for 6-8 years. Pair with pepper encrusted steak or braised short ribs.
