Negru de Purcari is the king of red wines – noble, with a rich structure and a perfect bouquet. The scarlet red color is characterized by a complex and intense bouquet, with notes of sweet fruits – ripe plums and figs – which develop over time, coupled in the end with fine flavors of spices and saffron. Deep and velvety taste reminds of the same fruit flavor with ample hints of delicate tannins and a long sensual aftertaste. Made from grapes harvested and selected by hand, produced using traditional methods. Aged for 18 months in French oak barriques.
Founded in 1827, Château Purcari is one of the most valuable and popular wineries of Eastern Europe. The Château is recognized worldwide by its exceptional wines which over the centuries won more than 200 awards at the most prestigious international wine competitions - Decanter, Challenge International du Vin, Concours Mondial deBrussels, International Wine & Spirit Competition and others.
Being appreciated as much as the Bordeaux and Burgundy wines, Purcari wines have been enjoyed by historical figures such as Emperor Nicholas II, King George V, and Queen Victoria of Great Britain.
