Here’s a classic Bordeaux from the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region – an excellent value that’s got some serious acclaim behind it …

Château Jean de Bel Air is a small, family-run estate sitting on 88 acres of prime grape-growing territory (their vines are planted on a plateau that’s rich in clay-limestone soil – aka, the perfect base for growing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot).

This elegant red has a lot going for it – pure cassis fruit (from the 40% Cabernet), silky-smooth tannins (courtesy of the 60% Merlot), lovely vanilla oak and a freshness that keeps you wanting more – no wonder it’s got gold medals from top shows in Paris, Brussels and Miami.

A lovely partner for brochettes grillés (beef skewers) veal, or roasted turkey – be sure to decant to unleash all the aromas and flavors.
