“The most inspiring Merlot producer I have come across in Chile is French-owned Casa Lapostolle,” writes top critic and Master of Wine, Jancis Robinson. And that’s in a country known for its world-class Merlot – so we’re thrilled to bring you this silky, new exclusive.

Founded in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle (the woman behind famous liqueur brand Grand Marnier), Casa Lapostolle quickly rose to prominence in Chile and the rest of the world. Its flagship red, Clos Apalta, sells for $80-plus a bottle, has been rated a perfect 100 points by critic James Suckling and won the No. 1 Wine of the Year in Wine Spectator’s prestigious Top 100.They put the same care and quality-obsession into their entire range, including this elegant Merlot (which you’ll enjoy at a far friendlier price).

Casona Cordillera is crafted with hand-selected Merlot, grown in estate vineyards in the premium Colchagua Valley. The valley’s warm days help grapes ripen to perfection, while its cooling sea breezes preserve the all-important fresh fruit character. Light aging in fine French barrels imparts a subtle touch of spice and vanilla to the ripe plum flavors.

Decant an hour before serving to unleash all the complex dark fruit aromas and flavors. Then, sip alongside juicy beef roasts or succulent lamp chops.

We’ve limited cases of this top-estate Merlot to go around. Hurry for your share.
